Neil P. Keegan is the CEO, Co-Managing Partner, and Co-Founder of Marlinspike, where he leads the firm's strategic vision and operations. With a robust background in investment management and financial strategy, Neil brings over two decades of expertise to his role.
Before founding Marlinspike, Neil was the CEO and Chief Investment Officer at Roanoke Capital Management (RCM), a single-family office in Los Angeles, CA, for eleven years. At RCM, he demonstrated deep expertise in portfolio management and alternative asset investing, including private equity, venture capital, and real estate. Notably, Neil led minority General Partner investments in a venture debt fund and two venture equity funds and played a key role in an early co-investment in SpaceX.
Neil’s career began at Goldman, Sachs & Co., where he spent seven years working in both the Equities Division in New York and the Investment Management Division in Los Angeles. He joined Goldman after earning his MA in International Relations with a focus on International Finance from The Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) in Washington, DC. Prior to his graduate studies, Neil served as a Surface Warfare Officer in the U.S. Navy for six years.
A graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy in Annapolis, MD, Neil earned his BS in History and was a defenseman for the Division I Varsity Lacrosse team from 1991 to 1994. He is actively involved in philanthropic efforts, serving as a Board Member for the Yellow Ribbon Fund, which supports injured service members and their families, and as a trustee for the U.S. Naval Academy Foundation's Athletic and Scholarship Program. Neil also holds a Series 7 license and is a registered representative with Roberts & Ryan.
